Kensington Palace | London W8

Surrounded by royal parkland, peaceful ponds and gardens, Kensington Palace is beyond breathtaking – it is a statement of elegance – a magical, enchanting palace wedding venue that is full of romance and history. Its character and undeniable charm has been shaped by everyone who has played a part in its history – the artists and craftsmen who have worked on it and, of course, its former residents, which include Princess Diana.

THE HISTORY

Built in the 17th century by William III, Kensington Palace has seen centuries of high society life unfold within its walls. George II made it central to his court life; Queen Victoria was born there; and politicians, courtiers and intellectuals have visited, all vying for royal favour. It was the focal point of London’s most spectacular social events, and now this historic palace can play its part in your history. Hire it for your wedding day and have one of London’s most celebrated palaces as the backdrop for your wedding.

THE ORANGERY – YOUR PALACE WEDDING VENUE

Designed by Christopher Wren, Nicolas Hawksmoor and John Vanbrugh, the Orangery is perhaps one of the most beautiful and perfectly formed orangeries in the world. Originally built to house Queen Anne’s orange trees, it became used as a space for lavish parties and celebrations. Opening out onto an impressive stone terrace with easy access to the Orangery Gardens, where pyrotechnics are permitted, the Orangery is an incredible wedding venue that can host up to 300 people (or 570 with a terrace marquee) and is available to hire all year round.

WEDDING PLANNER

When you hire the Orangery at Kensington Palace for your wedding, the Palace’s attentive events team promise you a personal, first-class service that will help you make your wedding day stylish and full of panache.
