House for an Art Lover | Glasgow
Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the prolific Scottish architect, artist and designer and a leader in Britain’s Art Nouveau movement, House for an Art Lover was born from a very personal love affair and became one of Glasgow’s treasured masterpieces. Set within the magnificent Bellahouston Park, it's filled with fantastic Art Nouveau flourishes and combines art gallery, studios and exhibition space into an inspiring and unique Glasgow wedding venue.
The enigmatic style of House for an Art lover is part of its magic – Macintosh’s signature touches can be seen both in and out of the house, and each one is more alluring than the last. Outside, its stately majesty whispers romantic intrigue, and within its vibrant 1930s florals and symmetry capture hearts. It truly is one of the most spectacular wedding venues in Glasgow and was voted one of the top 50 wedding venues in the UK by the Independent newspaper.
As soon as you book your wedding here, you are assigned your personal wedding coordinator, so you can rest assured that someone will always be there to help you with every aspect of your special day. From food (prepared by the House’s very own team of chefs) to wine selection, wedding decor, music and more, an experienced hand is always ready to help. And, however intimate or lavishly grand your wedding, your day will be treated with equal amounts of care, respect and dedication.
“House for an Art Lover was created from a love story – and it shows in every wedding we hold here. Seeing how happy our couples are on their wedding day makes being a part of it such a special experience.” Rachel Fyfe, House for an Art Lover
