Elmore Court | Gloucestershire

Elmore Court is the 750-year-old Grade II* listed home of the Guise family nestled in a beautiful rural village between the Cotswolds and Bristol. Its beautiful grounds offer views of the River Severn and, along with the magnificent court, can be yours exclusively for the day.

Originally built as a family home, Elmore Court has a wonderful warmth about it – a uniquely atmosphere that adds to the magic of your day.

There are four stunning ceremony/reception areas in the main house. The Hall, in the heart of the house, is perfect for ceremonies of up to 150 guests (seated) or 200 guests standing. The Drawing Room, The Morning Room and The Porch (the front steps of the house can be used for an outdoor ceremony) make up the other three licensed spaces.

The jewel in Elmore’s crown is The Gillyflower – a new environmentally conscious building built using earth and timber from the Estate and heated by a biomass boiler using wood from the estate. The Gillyflower boasts a 200 seated dinner capacity and up to 400 dancing to the custom-made Funktion-One AmbiSonic sound system which can be calibrated to fill the entire space, or contained within the dance-floor space only.

The Gillyflower boasts a Bruce Munro fibre-optic lighting system with iPad controlled dimming, huge seated windows with woodland and Cotswold views, a premium built-in bar, and living walls featuring ivy, Virginia creepers and other climbing plants that reach up to the grass covered roof. Outside, a path leads to a cozy fire-pit and a huge meadow area for camping.

Catering for your day will be an exceptional in-house affair, with food made from locally sourced ingredients – many coming from the kitchen’s own garden. A ‘grow-to-order’ option is available if you book your wedding well in advance.

A catering marquee is also available and an in-house events manager is on hand to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible.
