Brighton College | East Sussex
For a unique Brighton wedding venue, pay a visit to Brighton College. Established in 1845 and sitting right in the heart of Kemp town, its distinctive Sussex stone-walled architecture and beautifully manicured grounds make it one of Brighton’s hidden gems.
A TRANQUIL SETTING
Brighton College’s extensive and picturesque grounds offer an oasis of tranquility from the outside world. Say your vows in the peaceful Hordern room followed by your very own blessing in the College’s ornate Victorian Chapel.
Mingle with guests and celebrate your marriage with a champagne reception in the Quad before you head to enjoy your wedding breakfast in the magnificent Great Hall or the chandeliered Dining Room, before dancing the night away in the Great Hall.
AN ALL ENCOMPASSING VENUE
Not only will the College’s expert events team help you plan a seamless and memorable wedding day, they will liaise with with their locally renowned chefs to ensure your wedding menu offers everything you wish it too, including catering for special dietary needs. And, because Brighton College has everything you need right in one place – including an alcohol license, a live music license, and free onsite parking – and is for hire exclusively for your day, you and your guests can enjoy the day without having to worry about a thing.
ETHICAL AND WELCOMING
Brighton College is welcoming in every way. Not only was it the first independent school in the UK to have an openly gay headboy, it hosted the first anti-homophobia in schools conference in the UK and was the first school to accommodate transgender children within its uniform policy. It constantly strives to send a message to the LGBT community both within and outside the school walls that they are valued and an important part of our community. It believes every wedding is unique and promises to work hard with every couple that marry there to create a truly personal wedding.
“We believe every wedding is unique and personalised, and with our professional and creative staff will always strive to achieve this.” – Amy Diaper, Events Manager
