Philip Dignum Photography
This husband and husband photographing duo specialise in capturing genuinely special moments in a realistic and informal style. Story-telling in a candid, fun, real way is their forte, so don’t expect any fake smiles or awkward posed shots when you get your wedding photographs back.
Why do you want to work with us?
As a gay married couple ourselves we know we can offer an additional level of understanding and familiarity to same sex couples wanting to book their wedding photographers.
What is your approach to weddings?
We work as a photographing duo so we have two creative perspectives on a wedding day that complement and combine to create the complete wedding story.
We strongly believe in throwing out the rule book when it comes to weddings and focusing on what you want as a couple. We’re not into staged photographs, so we won’t be directing you into different poses or tapping our watches trying to move you on to the next shot. For us, a wedding shoot is all about spontaneity and authenticity – capturing those genuine moments that unfold organically during the day. there’s no timetable, we just go with the flow of the day and let you adapt what you like. We find this gives couples more time to relax and enjoy their day with their friends and family.
We can be with you for as much as nine hours of your wedding day, from your morning preparations to the ceremony, first dance and beyond.
What do you love about what you do?
Working and supporting happy, relaxed, and genuine couples on their wedding day.
What’s your favourite wedding song?
We both like something that is a little different to the usual choices of wedding songs. Our first dance was I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers.
We cover the West Midlands, but we’re happy to travel further when travel and accommodation is covered on top of wedding package.
Regions covered: We are based in the West Midlands and cover Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. Further if needed, but at an extra cost.
